One mum was left absolutely horrified after her toddler became covered in 'red swollen welts' just a matter of minutes after bathing him with baby shampoo.
Natalie Mathias was left fearing for the worst when her 19-month-old son, Haisley, had to be rushed to Malvern Community Hospital last month (25 February) after the 'raised and swollen' marks that were 'hot to touch' appeared on his head.
The 23-year-old, who hails from Malvern in Worcestershire, said she had used a new bottle of Asda's Little Angels shampoo when bathing the little tot who ended up totally 'distressed' and having a 'meltdown' over the pain.
The UK retailer has sold over 250,000 bottles of this particular shampoo in the past year and explained to Tyla that they had not received 'any similar complaints' before this case.

An Asda spokesperson told Tyla: "We are sorry to hear about Ms Mathias' experience with this product.
"This product has been dermatologically accredited by the Skin Health Alliance and the formulation and ingredients have not been changed since 2020.
"If a customer has any concerns about a particular product they should immediately return it to store or contact us directly."
Natalie explained she had previously used the same product regularly since Haisley's birth, so she was understandably shocked when the 'red swollen' marks appeared across his head just 10 minutes later.
Natalie, a former retail worker, said: "He'd had an afternoon bath then 10, 15 minutes later, he came out in [these marks].

"He's never had any reaction before. We've been using those products since he was a newborn."
The mum went on to explain: "We've used the shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and lavender mist spray. He's never had a reaction like this."
She continued: "He had [these marks] all over his head and the back of his head was bright red.
"They were raised and swollen. It looked different to an allergic reaction. They were hot to touch."

Natalia recalled: "He had a meltdown, he was really distressed. I was really concerned as a mum."
The mum also added that she complained about the product in Asda's Worcestor store and has since claimed she received a £5 coupon after raising the incident with staff at that particular branch.
