The secret code you need for every single thriller on Netflix

You may want to make note of this one...

We all love a good binge-watch but there's nothing worse than coming to the end of your favourite film or series and feeling at a complete loss for what to do with your life next.

Well, to solve all your post-binge blues, look no further than Netflix's little-known archive of secret codes you can use to find exactly what you want to watch.

The thriller genre has definitely been having a bit of a moment recently, what with Harlan Coben's Fool Me Once, The Deceived starring Paul Mescal and true-crime fest that is American Nightmare so, to help put an end to an eternity of scrolling, here's the secret code you need for every single thriller on Netflix.

Never heard of the secret codes before?

Well you, my friend, are in for a treat with Tudum explaining: "Your Netflix queue is always stacked with movies and shows to hit play on, but what you might not know is that there’s a hidden way to make that viewing experience even better."

There are already 36,000 - yes that many - secret codes to choose from for armchair critics who either know exactly what they want to watch or want to try something entirely new.

See it as like ordering off a secret streaming menu where all need to do to explore the cornucopia of categories is to simply open up your web browser, type in 'netflix.com/browse/genre/' and then add your ID code of choice to the end of the URL.

The categories in question are also gloriously niche including the likes of Deep Sea Horror Movies (45028), Screwball Comedies (9702) and Steamy Romantic Movies (35800).

Other codes include Short-Ass Movies (81603903), Spicy Romance (81572628) or Lavish Reality Lifestyles (81418611) - all of which are designed in the hopes of making users’ viewing experiences more enjoyable.

OK - enough of the background - what is the secret code you need to plug into your browser to binge-watch every single thriller on Netflix.

Look no further than '8933' for every single thriller on the site.

If that's already a little too broad for you do not fret as you can narrow it down even further.

You can find Gone Girl in the suspenseful Psychological Thrillers category using 5505.

There's a decent 13 different sub-categories you can explore in the thriller genre so best sure to use code 10499 for Crime Thrillers, 5505 for suspenseful Psychological Thrillers and 972 for your slightly more raunchy Steamy Thrillers.

If you fancy a bit more action in your thriller than check out code 43048, use 31851 for Gangster Movies and 11014 for Sci-Fi Thrillers.

Additionally, if you prefer being thrilled by the paranormal variety then search 11140 for Supernatural Thrillers or, if you like some good detective work, check out 9147 for Spy Thrillers.

Meanwhile, Mystery Films is a simple 9994, and, last but not least, Independent Thrillers is 3269.
