Jessica Biel admits her marriage to Justin Timberlake is a ‘work in progress’

Jessica Biel opened up about her marriage to Justin Timberlake on The View

Jessica Biel has gotten real with us about her marriage to Justin Timberlake.

Actress Jessica, 42, and singer Justin, 43, began their relationship in 2007 and tied the knot back in 2012 in Borgo Egnazia resort in Fasano, Italy, and they have two sons, Silas, 9, and Phineas, 3.

Although they had a brief breakup in 2011, it seems to have been pretty smooth sailing for the couple, however, all relationships still requires both partners to put in some work here and there.

Speaking on The View on Thursday (16 May), Jessica said: "It’s always a work in progress.

“It’s constantly trying to find the balance, trying to find the time we can connect.”

She then added: "Thank goodness for Zoom and FaceTime! For traveling families - for everybody, really - but for parents who are gone a lot, that’s been really helpful.

"Just finding the time we can connect and see each other in person and get him to see the kids."

However, with every learning experience, there have been some hurdles along the way.

"We've never done this before with two [children], so I don't know. I'm already exhausted," she said.

"There's been four shows, I don't know how we're gonna do it, I don't know how he's gonna do it - but we're gonna get through it. Somehow, someway."

Justin is in the midst of his Forgot Tomorrow World tour, which kicked off last month and wraps up in December.

But Justin isn't the only busy one - as well as working as an actor, Jessica has recently released a book, 'A Kids Book About Periods'.

She shared: "People’s reproductive health has just always been interesting to me. Wellness, you know, just all of these things in this space.

"It just felt like an important subject to start with to demystify, de-stigmatise and really open the conversation and learn more and give parents and young people who are about to experience big changes in their bodies a tool and a resource.”

Jessica then noted that while she has two sons, she hopes they will learn from the book too.

“I think it's important for everybody to know about the changes that our family members and loved ones are experiencing." she said.

"I have a period, and I want my boys to understand what I’m going through.

"I want them to be supportive for their friends and maybe eventual partners. I just want them to be educated.”

Jessica is being praised across social media for opening up about women's reproductive health and encouraging more education about periods.

She took to Instagram to share a video that included the anecdote: "'Getting your period, it's so hard when you're trying to hide it and you feel embarrassed about it, and you feel ashamed by it, which is the way I felt when I first got my period.

"I'm still hiding tampons up my sleeve as I scurry away to the bathroom, which is insane.

"You should not feel that way at 42."
